Caregiver & Baby Yoga is for babies from 6 weeks old, including crawlers. This specialty class is designed for the caregiver and will incorporate mindful yoga movements. It is an effective way to minimize any post labour complications, pelvic pain, back pain and general weakness and stiffness after childbirth and/or caring for a newborn. This dynamic and therapeutic yoga practice will address the physical, mental and emotional stress of being a new caregiver.
The focus will be to help open tight sore areas of the body which caregivers needs to release (shoulders, wrists, chest, lower and upper back & hips); and build physical strength, all while bonding with baby.
Myofascial release and breathing techniques will be part of these sessions to help de-stress and manage the many challenges that new caregivers experience. We will end each class with a relaxing savasana with the soothing sounds of nature to help caregiver & baby relax.
* A special Caregiver & Baby Pass is required to attend these registered classes.
