YOGA, BARRE & PILATES CLASSES
BARRELATES - L1/2 |
This is a 50/50 class of Classic Barre and Classical Pilates or Classic Barre with Core challenging exercises using flex-bands, balls, foam rollers, and hand held weights. Less time spent at the barre and more time spent on your mats. This class sculpts, tones, and gives you a strong core workout, incorporating Barre and Pilates elements.
BARRE ENERGY - L1/2 |
Our Barre Energy class is a fun and intense workout! This barre class is a comprehensive total body workout that lifts your seat, tones your thighs, abs and arms, and burns fat in record-breaking time. While primarily working those muscles, we always maintain core stability and whole body alignment, making every exercise a full body exercise. Barre Energy is a great way to tone muscles and burn calories. Muscles are worked to the point of fatigue and then released through stretching movements to create long, lean muscles. This class can be modified to be as intense or as easy as the individual desires, all levels are welcome!
FULL BODY FUSION - L1/2
Transform your physique through Full Body Fusion, you’ll discover an approach to shaping your body combining various disciplines of movement. This fusion class incorporates Pilates, barre moves, resistance exercises, and the occasional H.I.I.T to get your heart rate up. You’ll get all of this in just ONE class, maximizing your workout and your time! Join this challenging and dynamic workout where you’ll gain strength, muscle, definition, flexibility, balance and overall mind-body health!
PILATES CORE - L1/2
Pilates Core classes focus on developing core strength, flexibility, balance and stamina. Students learn to be aware of breathing patterns and spinal alignment while engaging the deep muscles of the core. Various props (e.g. flex bands, light weights, and balls) are incorporated to enhance and intensify the workout. No previous Pilates experience is necessary to join our Pilates Core mat classes.
YOGA CLASSES
ZEN RESTORE YOGA
This class is your weekly dose of absolute zen. Enjoy deeply relaxing restorative poses supported by props and a zen-like atmosphere complete with ambient music and dim lighting. By focusing on passive, floor and supine postures that target from knees to navel, a greater flexibility in the joints can be obtained. Each posture is held for three to five minutes, relaxing you into the shape and ultimately lengthening and strengthening deep connective tissue. Be prepared to throw away distractions and unwind from the daily active lifestyle. By calming the body and mind, reclaim your inner energy and tap back into a deeper connectedness. All levels of experience will benefit. We may use blankets, blocks, sleeping eye pillows and your mat. Feel free to bring your own or borrow one of ours. Wear comfortable clothing as you will want to be in your coziest for this class!
DEEP STRETCH HATHA - L1
Inspired by Classical Hatha Yoga, Deep Stretch Hatha Yoga turns the focus from the external body to the internal body, spending time in each pose to become aware of the subtle adjustments and nuances of the pose. Sometimes the extra time requires increased endurance and strength, sometimes it requires deeper release and stretch. Because of the intensity of longer holds, modifications are provided for students of all levels to experience a pose to the fullest extent of their unique body. Classes end with a deep meditative experience. This class is great for both beginners and advanced practitioners, and modifications are provided for all levels. It is an excellent class for people who wish to work on specific muscle areas in the hips, legs, and back to increase range of motion and to allow for deeper stretching and reduction of injury.
HATHA FLOW - L1 & L1/2
This Hatha Flow Yoga class is based on the classic and ancient practices with care and attention given to many different layers of yoga. Strengthen the Body, Calm the Mind, Open the Heart. Our Hatha Flow class is taught with unique sequencing to promote a dynamic + relaxing experience. This class incorporates all aspects of a traditional Hatha yoga class – breath, meditation and postures – while challenging your co-ordination through movement. This class is Level 1 or L1/2 and is suitable for beginner and intermediate students.
HATHA YOGA - L1/2
This class is a balanced combination of sustained poses with attention to basic alignment and therapeutic principals. Mindfulness; observing breath and body are an integral part of class. This style of yoga provides a great stretch and strengthens the body.
GENTLE HATHA
Gentle and therapeutic Hatha class focuses on breathing and stretching out tight, achy muscles. Great for recovery from running, cycling or any activity that may cause muscle soreness. Suitable for all levels.
CORE CONDITIONING - L1/2
This class will incorporate the following and will focus on strengthening the whole body, include core strength and stabilization that will enhance your yoga practice and offering you a diversity of more core and muscle strengthening. Each class will be different and it will keep you mentally and physically motivated and challenged. Prepare to sweat internally in this class and don’t blame us if those inches start to shed.
