This is a 50/50 class of Classic Barre and Classical Pilates or Classic Barre with Core challenging exercises using flex-bands, balls, foam rollers, and hand held weights. Less time spent at the barre and more time spent on your mats. This class sculpts, tones, and gives you a strong core workout, incorporating Barre and Pilates elements.
Our Barre Energy class is a fun and intense workout! This barre class is a comprehensive total body workout that lifts your seat, tones your thighs, abs and arms, and burns fat in record-breaking time. While primarily working those muscles, we always maintain core stability and whole body alignment, making every exercise a full body exercise. Barre Energy is a great way to tone muscles and burn calories. Muscles are worked to the point of fatigue and then released through stretching movements to create long, lean muscles. This class can be modified to be as intense or as easy as the individual desires, all levels are welcome!
BALLERINA BARRE BOOT CAMP - L2
Get up early and try our Ballerina Barre Boot Camp! This Class focus is on a combination of strength and cardio training using body weight and/or equipment such as hand held weights and flexbands. This Boot Camp class incorporates the highly effective tabatas method – alternating high intensity cardio with periods of rest. The workouts include core and flexibility training. Appropriate for all levels. Low impact options always offered.
BARRE CONDITIONING - L2
This beginner/intermediate barre class will focus on proper body alignment and promising to challenge and take you out of your comfort zone. The class will incorporate Pilates, Yoga and Ballet movement that will build strength and flexibility while burning fat and toning muscle. No ballet shoes or dance background required!
BARRE ELEMENTS - L1
Classes are infused by a combination and series of postures inspired by ballet and other disciplines such as Yoga and Pilates. The barre is used for balance while doing exercises that focus on isometric strength training (maintaining stillness in your body while you contract an isolated set of muscles). Classes will incorporate high reps of small range-of-motion movements using props such as light handheld weights to bring the burning sensation to the reps as well as mats for an abdominal core work. You will feel the burn as your muscles are awakened! Beginners welcome.
PILATES CORE CLASS - L1/2
Pilates Core classes focus on developing core strength, flexibility, balance and stamina. Students learn to be aware of breathing patterns and spinal alignment while engaging the deep muscles of the core. Various props (e.g. flex bands, light weights, and balls) are incorporated to enhance and intensify the workout. No previous Pilates experience is necessary to join our Pilates Core mat classes.
